Parody of "Londonderry Air" by Unknown

Oh young elf boy, the bows, the bows are firing
From stream to stream and down Cahadras’ side
The elves have gone, and all the men are falling
It’s you, it’s you must go to Elrond’s side.

But come ye back when summer’s in these halls
Or when the forest’s hushed and white with snow
It’s I’ll be here in armour, or in robes
Oh young elf boy, oh young elf boy, now you must go.

But when ye come and all our race are dying
If I have gone, and gone I well may be
You’ll come and find the place from where I sailed
And come and sail from there to join with me.

And I shall know, though soft the waters ripple
And all these lands shall warmer, sweeter be
For you will come and tell me that you’ve won
And I shall wait an age ‘till ye find me.
