An avid reader of Prof. Tolkien for many years, married for 26 years with 2 children. Becoming disabled in an industrial accident in 1988 meant I could be a stay at home Dad. The LoTR Films brought Mr Tolkien's work to my children, I just hope they read the books someday. I think that it is very important to read all his works & understand the times that the books were written in. I'm inspired by his Christian faith & his essay on Fairy Stories. My adult son with Autism & I collect & customize LoTR toys & verbally replay various parts from the films that we enjoy. I still believe that contrary to what Mr Gygax wrote in Dragon Magazine in the early 80's, The Ring Cycle has influenced every fantasy RPG that has ever come into existence. Of all races in RPG's or books, Tolkien like elves are my favorite each & every time. I wish I could sail to the Undying Lands with my family!
