After having read through this analysis of the differences between Book Aragorn and Movie Aragorn, I personally find myself feeling and believing that the changes made to Aragorn in the films are not quite as brazen as might first be assumed. While changes were made to make Aragorn a bit less sure of himself and his role as the eventual King of Gondor, the qualities and traits that make the character who he is in the book (which you’ve covered here) are there; they’re just packaged differently by Jackson and Co. in keeping with the decision to paint Aragorn as a reluctant King.
