Ingredients
8 oz plain flour3 oz caster sugar
3 oz butter
½ tsp baking powder
½ caraway seeds
1 tbsp milk
1 egg
Instructions
Sift the flour and baking powder into a large bowl.Rub in the butter until it is thoroughly mixed. Mix in the sugar and caraway seeds and then add the egg and milk to make stiff dough.Roll out the mixture on a floured surface until it is the desired thickness. Cut the rolled out dough into your desired shape. Prick the top of the cookies with a fork and place on a greased baking tray and bake in a pre-heated oven at 375F/190C/Gas Mark 5 for approx. ten minutes until golden brown.Leave the cookies to cool and store in an airtight container.
