Ingredients

60g butter
1/2 cup castor sugar
2 egg whites
5 tablespoons plain flour, sifted

Instructions

Preheat oven to 200 C. Lightly grease baking trays.

Beat butter and sugar in bowl till light and fluffy. Add egg whites and beat till just combined. Stir in sifted flour.

Place mixture into piping bag and pipe 6 8cm strips onto each tray. (Limiting each tray to only 6 allows room for spreading.)

Bake in a hot oven for about five minutes, or until edges are lightly browned. Do not overbake.

Stand one minute before lifting onto wire rack to cool.
