Ingredients

2 cups butter, softened
1 cup icing sugar, sifted
1/2 cup cornstarch
1 tsp. vanilla extarct
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 c. chocolate chips or chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

Oven: 325 degrees F. (160 degrees C.)

Cream butter and icing sugar together with electric mixer until light and fluffy.

Beat in cornstarch and vanilla extract. Gradually add flour, stirring in chocolate chips or nuts if desired.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake 15 to 20 minutes until very light golden.

Makes 60 to75 cookies, 75 calories per cookie.
