Council of Elrond - Sam's Recipe Box

Description: After the long climb up to Caras Galadhon, enjoy this in the company of Elves.

Serves: 2 Elves, 2 Humans, or 1 Hobbit

Prep Time: 40 minutes including ice cube freezing time

Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups orange juice
6 to 8 grape juice ice cubes
2 slices lime or lemon (lime is better)
1 tbsp. grenadine syrup

Grenadine syrup is available in the bar-supply section of your supermarket, and is non-alcoholic. For grape ice cubes, pour grape juice into ice trays and freeze ahead of time (at least 30 min.)

Instructions

For each serving, pour 3/4 cup orange juice into tall glass.Pour 1/2 tbsp. grenadine syrup into center of each glass--it will sink to the bottom to form a sunset effect. Add 3 to 4 grape ice cubes to each glass. Garnish glass with lime slice and serve immediately.
