Prep Time: 15-20 mins. prep; 45-50 baking; 10 min. cooling
Difficulty: Intermediate
Ingredients
1 lb sausage1/2 cup onion, diced
1/2 cup green pepper, diced
1 (32 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
1 15-oz. container ricotta cheese
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried basil
6 uncooked lasagna noodles
1 13-oz. package roasted garlic Mozzarella, shredded and divided
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.Cook sausage well. Add onion and green pepper and cook till crisp and tender. Drain thoroughly.
Spread 2 tablespoons sauce in a 2- quart oblong baking dish. Stir
remaining sauce into sausage mixture.
In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese and seasonings.
Place 3 lasagna noodles over sauce in baking dish. Spread with half of sausage mixture and half of ricotta mixture; sprinkle with 1/2 of the roasted garlic Mozzarella. Repeat.
Top with remaining garlic Mozzarella; cover with foil. Bake 45-50 minutes. Uncover and continue baking until cheese is melted.
Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
