Ingredients

1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1 cup whipping cream, whipped
1 baked 9-inch pastry shell
1 quart small fresh strawberries, hulled
3 (1-ounce) squares semisweet chocolate
1 tablespoon butter or margarine

Instructions

Beat cream cheese at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy; gradually add sugar and almond extract, beating well.

Stir one-fourth of whipped cream into cream cheese mixture; fold in remaining whipped cream. Spoon mixture into pastry shell.

Arrange strawberries , stem side down, over whipped cream mixture. Cover and chill 3 hours.

Melt chocolate and butter in a small heavy saucepan over low heat, and cool.

Spoon melted chocolate mixture into a large heavy-duty, zip-top plastic bag or a decorating bag fitted with a No. 2 round tip; seal bag. Right before serving, pipe chocolate mixture in a decorative design over strawberries.
