Ingredients

1-2 bottles dry red wine
3 cups raisins
2-3 cups sugar
1 bottle whiskey
2-3 cinnamon sticks
1 Tbs. cloves
2 Tbs. crushed cardamom pods


Instructions

- Make a bag out of cheesecloth and wrap the cinnamon, cloves and cardamom in it. Tie with a clean string.
- Put everything but the whiskey into a pot and bring to a boil.
- Let it cool before adding whiskey.
- Leave the bag of spices in for the night (in the fridge)
- Remove from the fridge and bottle. Drink hot or cold
