Ingredients
1/2 c. butter or margarine (not diet or lowfat)1/2 c. honey
2 1/4 c. whole wheat flor
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground allspice
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. milk
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. orange extract
1 tbsp. orange zest (finely grated orange rind)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.Melt butter or margarine with honey over low heat. Do not let burn.
Mix dry ingredients in large bowl.
Combine milk and beaten eggs in small bowl. Add vanilla and orange extracts and mix well. Add orange zest.
Add butter and honey, then milk and egg mixtures to dry ingredients. Stir until just combined.
Bake in lightly oiled bread pan 1 hour, or until cake tester comes out clean.
