She was born during the first age. She is of the second generation of Elves, but the exact dateof her birth is not known. She has seen much evil. Her mother died while giving bith to Aliriah’s younger sister, Niara, and her father died from grief. Niara was born in Beleriand, but one day while wandering the northern borsers, she got lost and was captured. Aliriah went in search of Niara and was also captured. She was taken to her sister. They were placed before Sauron and he devised a terrible punishment. Aliriah was chained to a wall, and opposite her was chained Niara. Niara was tortured daily, until she no longer bore the beauty that was given to her from birth. Sauron allowed Aliriah to go, but she could not abandon her sister. She found her way back to the dungeons of Sauron and was able to rescue her sister. Aliriah took Niara to Melian, but not even the Maia could save Niara, therefore, Alriah killed her, to save her from her pain. She pities the Orc race,for she knows what they once were and what they went through to become the foul creatures they are. She does not like to kill unless she has no alternative. She is terrified of dragons.
