History:

Born the fifth of six children, Anwari grew to be a selfless and submissive young woman under the domination of an overbearing and irrational father. Anwari’s father, Laroch, is a chieftain of the Woodmen that inhabit Brethil. Once a very kind and generous individual, he has been hardened by the dark reality of his and his kinsmen’s existence.
The Woodmen live in the lands between the rivers Sirion and Teiglin, lands claimed by King Thingol of Doriath. The People of Haleth were granted the land in return for guarding the Crossings of the Teiglin from orcs and other servants of evil. For more than a century, the Men of Brethil shielded Nargothrond at great cost from the incursions of orcs, but fell into decline after the Battle of Unnumbered Tears.
After this time, they had little might and grew increasingly secretive and distrustful.
Anwari’s family lives a more comfortable life then most because of her father’s status, but it is still a very hard lifestyle of long, lean winters and laborious summers. And while trying to carve a living out of the woodlands, there is the constant threat from the Gaurwaith. The Gaurwaiith or Wolfmen, as they are often called, are bands of lawless and cruel hearted men who pillage, steal, and kidnap, lurking in the shadows, terrorizing the people of the Haladin. The Gaurwaith are of greater stature and might then the Haladin, but are cowardly and rely on numbers for most victories. Because of the ever-present danger posed by the Gaurwaith, the Woodmen live in fortified homesteads and even the women are taught to use weapons.
