Gender: 2
Race: Man
Height: 5'11''
Age: 25 (Numenor years)
Family: Son of Arveleg, King of Arthedain
Animals: a horse, Ohtar
Weapons: an old Ranger's sword and a small dagger

Personality: Araphor is very concerned with living up to the expectations set on him by his father, who was killed by the Witch-king at Amon Sul. He is somewhat idealistic, and wishes to be a good ruler for his people, although he doubts he could ever match the standards set by his father. He truly believes with all his heart that good will always win, and lives life expecting that all things will work out in the end. Araphor can be very stubborn when he has a mind to be. He dislikes being told what to do, and will sometimes do things simply because he's been told they won't work. This resistance to authority does not extend to his rule, though- if he were told to do something unpleasant for the sake of his people, the job would be done in a heartbeat. Araphor is decisive, if nothing else. He says he will do something, and he comes through with it, come death or high water. Araphor has a good sense of humor and likes to laugh, though it sometimes comes out at inappropriate times. He finds irony in the smallest things, and has a very dry sense of humor. In this respect, he is still very much a youth. Araphor throws himself into tasks whole-heartedly. He is a bit of a maniac, and does not always think before he acts. He could be considered reckless at times, and has to work to temper this. He is infamous for pulling crazy stunts without any clue as to whether they will work or not, especially in battle, where there really is no telling what he will do next. Araphor would rather die than give up on something. He is good-tempered, but has his limits. A very good way to get him angry is to challenge his honor or insult his family. Araphor is somewhat intellectual. He loves reading and books, and absorbs facts from all around him. He knows quite a bit about the history of Middle-earth, especially the history of his own people, the Numenoreans. He also has a wealth of useless facts that he pulls out of nowhere on odd occasions.

Appearance: Araphor is of an average height for his race, which is tall for Men. He has brown hair, which he wears back, and grey-blue eyes that tell exactly what is on his mind. He is usually grinning about something, or laughing his funny snorting laugh. Araphor carries an old Ranger's sword with him at all times, and has a bow, but is is not very good with it, so he will only shoot if his own men are behind him. He hates helms and refuses to wear one even in battle because he says he can't see as much with one on. He wears a blue cloak with the rising sun- Arthedian's symbol- on it, and sometimes has the Star of the North on his forehead, but he generally does not like to show off his heritage.

History:

Araphor is the son of Arveleg, the King of Arthedain. He was sent to Rivendell at a young age when the armies of Angmar began threatening his home land. He grew up there, causing endless havoc for the Elves to deal with, and reading as many of Elrond’s books as he could get his hands on.

When Rivendell came under seige, Araphor was confined to the very inner walls of the Last Homely House, something he resented bery much. He wanted very dearly to help the Elves, his friends, but was told that it was too dangerous for him. Shortly after the Orcs were repulsed, Araphor learned of his father’s death while at Amon Sul. He then travelled to Fornost to come into his own as King.
