Personality: Cheerful, spirited Ardithen is still like a boy in many ways. He is greatly enthusiastic about his role as one of the Rohirrim, and retains childlike optimism even in the midst of battle and danger. He is clever and quick to learn, but can be gullible at times. He'd believe nearly anything his superiors or fellows tell him, for so staunch is his faith in their word. Though he likes to laugh, joke around and have a good time, he is takes his job very, very seriously, and has proven himself a valuable soldier with his determination, obedience, and unquestionable loyalty to his comrades. He is also quite a charmer, especially with the young ladies.

Appearance: He is tall and lean, with short light brown hair and hazel eyes that are usually sparkling with mischief or excitement. His youthful face remains clean-shaven, though continues to show growing signs of manly transition as the days pass. Judging from his success in dealing with the young maidens of Rohan, he may be considered quite a looker with a heart-winning smile.

History:

Becoming one of the Rohirrim had been a life-long dream of Ardithen’s since he was just a little boy. He came from a poor family, and his father was but a stablehand for the King. He spent virtually his whole childhood around horses as he helped his father at work. Being in Edoras also exposed him to the Rohirrim, which stared his biggest dream of joining their ranks someday.

Ardithen’s ambition took its first step towards fulfillment when he one day he unwittingly befriended Theodred, the son of King Theoden, who took a liking to the child’s fiery spirit. Theodred placed him under the apprenticeship of Elfhelm, from whom Ardithen learned much of what he needed to become a Rider. After eight years, he was then transferred to the care of Eomer, who remained his mentor until he was initiated at age eighteen.
