Personality: Arveleg is very concerned with his duty as King of Arthedain. His primary goal in life is to be a good ruler. He has seen many wars in his day, and worries about the future of his kingdom. This accounts to some extent for his serious personality. He could be considered stuffy, but those who know him well know that he has a good heart and a sharp sense of humor underneath the formal exterior. He loves his son greatly, and it bothers him that he cannot be with his family more, since his duties often take him far from home. He regrets that he was not there for Araphor while he was growing up, and his greatest fear is that his son resents him for this or will not remember him. He loves music and singing, and has a good voice. Arveleg takes a long time to get angry, but when he is provoked enough he will lash out at his offender. He is brave in battle and will not run from a fight. He can be obstinate at times and is seen by some as being slow to change.

Appearance: Arveleg is of average build for his race. He has grey eyes and brown hair. He has sharp features and tends to bore holes in things with his eyes when he's feeling sharp. Arveleg is not overly handsome, but has a certain look of nobility to him that comes from hs ancestors and makes people think twice before crossing him.
