Gender: 2
Race: Dúnadan
Height: 6'2
Age: well over 100
Family: sister-in-law, nephew, foster-son
Weapons: longsword, bow, hairpin

Personality: Intellegent and a good teacher, both stern and kind. He has an air of authority around him, but more the calm presence of a venerable man (a grandpa, if you wish) than the intimidating commander. He adores children, from the very little to the adolescents, and loves to fool around with them. Around adults he’s always in for a nice conversation, or a little joke. Although, little.. with his dearest friend Radû around, oddities are bound to happen...

Appearance: On the short side for a Dúnadan, but makes up for that with broadness in shoulders and chest. His jaw line is straight and square, and like his kinsmen his cheekbones are set high, giving him that famous regal look. His hair is shaggy and of about shoulder length. It used to be black but time has faded it to a silvery grey. His eyes are a pale grey colour. His entire body is covered in numerous battle scars. He doesn't care much about them, never having been vain and not feeling any need to look handsome at his age anyway. Therefore it is only in modesty, he says, that he cuts his hair so that it subtletly covers the long scar that runs in a straight line from his brow down his eye to the middle of his cheek.

History:

Arvellas was born on the 17th of January, first son of Helean and Lathron. Six years later his brother Laeron was born. They were raised as any of the Dúnedain at that time: in the wild.

The loss of several close friends and his little brother cut a deep wound in his heart, but with time and care of others he overcame his grief and lived on. In turn he took it upon himself to take care of his brother’s wife who was left alone and pregnant after Laeron’s death. His ever faithful support in those difficult days was his close friend Dêaren, who he grew up with. Therefore it was not unexpected that when Dêaren died, Arvellas took the man’s son Radû, a lad of only fifteen years old, under his wing.

Around Bree he’s known as Lighthand, rumoured to be the swift and sneaky thief of everything not secured tightly enough.
