Personality: Baldor is a loud, boisterous Rohir who enjoys a good laugh and a good ale. He's fiercely protective of those he loves, and though he's quite intelligent, gives the appearance of being a oafish boor. He has a disarming smile and a possesive charm about him. He has quite the jealous streak, and it took him quite a while to understand and accept Annadin's friendship with Gelir. Baldor loves horses and everything to do with them, and can usually be found in the stables or out in the paddock.

Appearance: Very big, muscular male. Red-haired, he keeps his beard and mustache neatly trimmed, as Annadin likes it. He has blue eyes and a tanned complexion, as he spends hours out in the sun training his beloved horses.

History:

Baldor has known Dina all his life. Dina, half-Elven, was already an adult by the time Baldor was born, and he idolized her all his life. She left for Ranger training when he was 20 years old, and was 24 when she returned to Rohan with her young son. After getting reacquainted, Baldor asked Dina to become his wife, knowing he was asking a great deal of her; namely for her to give up her Immortality. Annadin has taken the proposal under serious consideration, but must discuss it with Annael’s father, as it would mean her eventual death while her son is still essentially young.

Upon her summons to Imladris by Elladan yet again, Elladan, in a fit of jealous possessiveness, forced Baldor to return to Rohan without Annadin, declaring that Dina will never marry a Mortal. Rather than have Dina choose between them through violence, Baldor gave her back to Elladan and left without a fight. Dina’s heart was shattered, and she has yet to make up with Elladan over this and several other issues.
