He is very fond of displaying Dwarven hospitality: "roaring fires, malt beer, ripe meat off the bone, etc.". Like all those of his race, Bragin remembers both friend and enemy for decades; his friendship is not lightly given, nor is his forgiveness.

Appearance: Bragin son of Borin is a Dwarf of portly bearing and russet-colored hair and beard, with twinkling eyes of hazel. His armor and helm are embossed with his family's arms, crossed axe and hammer amid cunning knotwork.

History:

Bragin son of Borin was born in Erebor in TA 2971, thirty years after the restoration of the Kingdom Under The Mountain. His father, Borin, fought under Dain Ironfoot at the Battle of Five Armies. He fought during the Siege of Erebor, which saw the fall of King Dain and King Brand of Dale, and was in the vanguard of Thorin Stonehelm which defeated the invading army.

Bragin apprenticed under the master architect Tamar of Erebor, and became one of the best artisans the Folk produced. When Gimli son of Gloin removed to Gondor to labor in the service of the King of the Westlands, Bragin accompanied him, and had a hand in the reconstruction efforts for the White City. Bragin has also dwelled for a time at the Caves of Aglarond, and was part of the expedition to Khazad-Dum to obtain sufficient mithril to reconstruct the Gates of Minas Tirith.

In the later years after the return of the King, Bragin has been known to travel abroad, in greater lengths with each passing adventure, looking for places where his architect’s knowledge might lend aid to those in need.
