Caimallen Holm-Oak (Nifredil)
Caimallen is still considered a very young man among the elves. His parents both are elves of pure Teleri blood that is a rare thing these days. They had also a daughter, Rannathir, 15 years younger than Mallen. Since very early age, Mallen loved making things with his hands. He quickly learned all the possible crafts, but used them to create art. He was becoming a great artist and everybody believed him to be extraordinary gifted and like the eldar of old, just awoken. Mallen also had the gift of a singer only a Teleri elf of pure blood can have. He could have become a Songmaster, too… If not for his sister. Still being a ‘teenager’ of 32 years, she and three of her friends were captured by orcs that were constantly attacking borders of Lothlorien, and brought to their lare. On a rescue mission, Wangruth, their father, received a serious wound, and was crippled. Mallen practically dragged him out of there. Unfortunately, they couldn’t save Rannathir who died on the way back home. Aferwards, Wangruth’s spirit was broken, and his light faded, and Mallen locked inside himself. He abandoned art and song, and as soon as a smith from Imladris came to Lothlorien, the young ellon departed with him. In Imladris, he soon became one of the best smiths and got renowned in all realms of the eldar. He had spent over 150 years in Imladris, when Calmathil, his brother, accompanied their parents to the Grey Havens. Mallen almost went with them to Valinor, but for the duty of making and presenting a special weapon for the Heir of Gindor, given to him by Lady Galadriel. Since that day, both brothers have lived together in Imladris and haven’t parted.
As one of the best smiths in Imladris, Caimallen received the assignment to reforge the Sword that was Broken – Narsil.
He has loved deeply and lost his love, but only his brother knows the full story, Mallen doesn’t like to speak about it or remember it, but he can’t forget it either…
