Race: Human
Height: 5'11
Age: 30
Family: Only Child, Parents long dead
Animals: Horse ~ Arauca (Rushing)
Weapons: Bow, Sword ~ Findë (Cunning), Two Daggers

Personality: She is quite serious about her Ranger duties. She has partnered with Maethor, a Ranger from her home town, for many years and they travel far and wide helping people who need it more than they. Somewhat shy, she is quite leery of others but once a friend, she will not forsake you. She has a healthy sense of humor and a nearly unhealthy love of chocolate ~ she is never without it. She carries Athelas which her father taught her to use along with other Elvish treatments.

Appearance: When at home she wears long earth-tone gowns. When in the wild, she wears brown pants tucked into knee boots, a dark brown shirt, all covered in a dark brown cloak. Her dark grey-green eyes hint of her heritage. The drawing of Claur is by Brian Froud and used by permission. Claur is of medium build and stands about 5’11”. Her thick and wavy fiery-red hair falls well below her waist. She has a whistle that can pierce an eardrum and be heard for a mile. She carries a bow and arrow-filled quiver, a sword, and a small dagger in the inside pocket of each boot. Around her neck on a fine gold chain hangs a small gold sword which has been handed down through the female side of her family. Where the hilt meets the blade is set an Emerald.

History:

Claur is from a long line of Chieftain of the Dunédain. She is a descendant of Aramîr (meaning Lord of the Jewels), the younger son of Aranarth. It was Aramîr who gave the gold sword with emerald jewel to his wife. She is the one who passed it down through the female side of the family and eventually it came to Claur.

Although she is of the race of men, she was given an Elvish name at birth – Claur, meaning glory. On one of Claur’s future quests (at age 98) she meets a group of Elves and falls in love with one in particular, Celevon, with whom she has two children, Goldie and Toron, and lives the rest of her days in Lothlórien, where her mortal life comes to an end.
