Was born on the same day as Pippin in the Long Cleeve in Tuckborough. Diamond has always been best friends with Rosie Cotton, so naturally has known Samwise Gamgee all her life. Through Sam, Diamond met Frodo, and eventually Merry and Pippin. Diamond loved Pippin from the day she met him, and always paid special attention to him. Her normal happy, bubbly behavior suddenly turned dark when Pippin disappeared from the Shire. An open hater of the Ruffians of Saruman, Diamond was thrown into the Lockholes not long after “Sharkey” took over. Her will to see the outside world again kept her alive, and lo and behold, the first thing she saw when she left the Lockholes was Pippin. They married when Diamond was 35 (so was Pippin) and were blissfully happy together.

Well, at least when Diamond wasn’t breaking dishes.

Late in Diamond’s life, she discovered that she could switch dimensions to our modern earth if she was in a quiet place and concentrated on the sounds of the other world. She has had many talks with Tolkien, and has brought Faramir, her son, with her a couple times.
