Personality: Dirk is a rather open person. He wears his feelings on his sleeves most of the time. However, when the need arises, he can pull a pretty good poker-face. Before he met Ondet, Dirk was rather care-free and he has a soft spot for kids and animals. Every once in awhile though, Dirk turns out his cold face, and everyone knows he's not in a good mood. That seems mostly to happen around people like Ondet and Di'shan, interestingly enough...

Appearance: Black hair cut raggedly to shoulder length is always getting into his light brown eyes framed by long lashes. Over those eyes are slightly bushy eyebrows that give him a slightly comic look. Round nose, square chin and ruddy mouth complete the face. His skin is nicely tanned, a tone acquired from long hours spent out in the sun through his life thus far. Dirk is built compactly, rather than muscularly, with a long legs and a slightly short torso. He carries himself with a calm and decisive air, ready to take on quite a few problems all at once before he'll buckle under the strain. As a Rohirrim, Dirk carries a sword with a horse-head pummel, a round shield and a short bow. For battle he wears finely made chain mail and leather arm-guards. During everyday things, Dirk goes clad mostly in light clothing - thin tunic and jerkin with loose breeches.

History:

Born and raised in Rohan, Dirk is (or rather, was) a true Rohirrim man. That is, until one spring day when an unexpected stranger came and proceeded to tell him, in great detail, everything he didn’t want anyone else to know. Then, the stranger, an Elf by the name of Ondet, told Dirk that he would spread this information around to the people if Dirk refused to come with him. Then Ondet murdered Jeth, Dirk’s eldest son before the man and explained patiently that the same fate would befall the rest of the man’s family should he refuse. Dirk, feeling he had no choice, abandoned his remaining two children and wife to go with Ondet and begin a full-scale seige on an Elven refuge – Imladris.
