Personality: Drandwen is a very sociable person who always moves about and organizes something. Mostly parties, concerts, different social events... She adores children and always is trying to figure out something interesting for them. This is why she became a teacher.

Appearance: Tall and lithe, Drandwen is not the most beautiful of the elves, nor is her form overly feminine. A good runner and swimmer, she has a strong body, but does not have the reflexes of a fighter. Her long hair is of the color of honey, almost always neatly braided, she has light green eyes and fair complexion. A true child of the nature, she has never bothered to do her hair nicely or to outline her eyes or lips. Like all the Green-elves, she only wears camouflaging green, breeches as often as dresses.

History:

Drandwen is the only child to her parents, born during the pass over the Misty Mountains. Her father perished during the pass – he gave his life so that his kinsmen could reach their destination alive. Having lived peacefully for some time in Ossiriand, the friendly Laiquendi were attacked by the orcs of Morgoth. In one of those attacks Drandwen’s mother was killed. Many of the Laiquendi accepted King Thingol’s offer of protection and moved to Doriath, but Drandwen decided to remain in Ossiriand. However, she didn’t find her peace and just left with a fragile hope to find some of her distant relatives from the host of the Teleri that had remained by the shores of Beleriand when the rest of them passed to Valinor.

Drandwen watched the final War against Morgoth from a safe distance, preferring peace to fight. In Mithlond, she met her future husband, Wangruth – another Teleri elf, but it was not before the final Ruin of Beleriand when they did finally wed. An excellent arquicect, Wangruth was contracted by Lord Celeborn to help him with the planning and making of Lothlorien. Ever since then, they have lived there. She bore him three children, and they were a happy family before the disaster struck: Rannathir was kidnapped and killed by orcs. Wangruth returned from the rescue mission crippled, and their eldest son, Caimallen, who had followed the rescuers without permission, after the return changed dramatically. Soon, he left Lorien for Imladris. Drandwen remained strong for her husband and their youngest child Calmathil, but Wangruth’s spirit was broken as was his body, and he decided to Sail. Calma escorted him to the Grey Havens and remained by his dear brother’s side. So, Drandwen was left alone…
