Personality: Emlin possesses the kind of spirit that is not easily dampened. An optimist, few have seen her in a foul mood, for she is not one to waste time with petty arguments. She has the countenance and patience to become a great strategist someday. Friendly, amiable, sweet natured and kind she makes friends easily and loves to laugh, though she is content with being alone, sometimes it makes things easier. Trust is something that no longer comes naturally to her. She has let many take advantage of her in the past, and has been quite damaged because of it. Among her many flaws stubbornness is a very strong and unyielding one. Of course her surprising emotional strength and defiance can be an asset but most of the time it is a weakness. Once she has made her mind up about something she will not falter. She has an unassuming nature which lends itself to her ability which has helped her survive in many tough situations. She has an uncanny knack for persuading people to do what she wants while making them think it was their idea in the first place. She speaks elvish fluently.

Appearance: She is petite and slender with soft fawn coloured hair and wide hazel eyes encompassed by thick lashes. She is rather unremarkable save for her eyes which are unusually bright. Of average height she has a pretty figure. Her skin is soft to the touch. Her lips and cheeks are rosy in colour, giving her a healthy, flushed appearance. Her hair is so long and though it is full her hair is of a thin quality and in humid weather becomes unmanageable.

History:

Born in the Second Age Emlin has a somewhat dark and tragic past one she does not share lightly with others. Her father and mother died when she was very young, she grew up with her brother Segwin in Númenor. When Segwin and Emlin were out hunting and camping they were attacked. Emlin panicked and accidentally killed a man after stabbing him with one of her daggers, she also saved Segwin’s life as the man would have fatally maimed her brother. After that horrifying incident Emlin fled to Beleriand and settled in Anfauglith where no one knew of her and what a terrible act she had committed. Segwin wanting not to be corrupted by the ruler of Númenor joined a fishing vessel and Emlin does not see him for months at a time. Emlin did not expect that more tragic fate would befall her with the coming of the Nirnaeth Arnoediad – the Battle of Unnumbered Tears – was the fifth and most disastrous of the Battles of Beleriand.
