Race: Sylvan Elvenkin
Height: 5'10
Age: 878
Family: Daughter of Sedryn Firithnar, a captain with King Thranduil's host and Glawarien Firithnar, the daughter of Saelion, horsemaster of King Thranduil's s
Animals: A chestnut mare named Eleni, dark eyed and reared within the forest; she is dedicated to her rider. Dark chestnut and fair with a white star upon her forehead, the mare is a patient, loyal beast and was a gift to Faeniel from her grandfaster.
Weapons: A bow, a quiver of gold and green fletched arrows and twin daggers of gilded silver.

Personality: Faeniel is merry and quick to laugh, having spent the majority of her life within the woodland realm of King Thranduil, she was an innocent to the dangers of the outlying lands until the death of her brother at the hands of an orc. Yet, despite the pain this caused her, she held on to the joy that shone from her eyes whenever she was in the company of others. Finding solace in fellowship with others, Faeniel grew confident and likable, developing a keen judgement of character and truth, she found it easy to read other's expressions. She has a love of dancing and all movement, taking great joy in the expression of herself through this art, she will often walk through the woodlands alone, merely dancing and singing to herself, taking joy in merely being alive. However, beneath the joy, there also dwells a caring, deeply loving soul, which, though slowly recovering from her brother's death is deeply trusting, and maybe to the point of manipulation, so innocent is she.

Appearance: Tall, slender and fair as many of her kin, Faeniel has the long blond hair of her parents, with the forest-green eyes of her mother. Yet there is a joy within her soul that is palpable and causes her eyes to shine with an inner light. Though no fairer than any of her race, she possesses an innocence that gives her beauty a rarity uncommon for her kin. She has seen no death, and her soul is therefore unscarred. Normally dressed in the greys and greens of the forest guard, she is often on patrol along the forest borders. But when back within the city, she always reverts to a gown of blue or purple as was her way before she joined the guard. Around her neck, she wears a delicate silver necklace of interwoven leaves, embedded within which are tiny sapphires and amethysts.

History:

Faniel’s childhood was one of joy and peace. Born within the kingdom of Mirkwood, she enjoyed a life of privilege, freedom and learning as she was taught the art of music and dance by her mother, the skill of riding by her grandfather, she had all the joy that her young life could wish. Until, one day a week before her 500th birthday, a tragedy struck her life, her brother had been killed in an orc skirmish on the borders of the forest.

Upon the day of her brother’s death, though hurt to her core, Faeniel swore never to let go of the joy within her life, and in place of grieving in despair, she threw herself into the learning of weaponry. Under the tutelage of her father, she flourished, soon growing competent and able with the twin blades of the fighting daggers, she then began to learn the use of a bow. And, though she grew competent at the use of one, she found herself favouring the hand-to-hand combat of her daggers.

After having gained her competence with weapons, Faeniel sought to aid her kin in a greater way, and after a time and much training, was enrolled into the forest guard. There she has now served proudly and faithfully for many years.
