Goldie (NenyaGold)
Goldie is half-Elf and half-human. Her mother is from a long line of Chieftain of the Dúnedain. She is a descendant of Aramîr (meaning Lord of the Jewels), the younger son of Aranarth (who was the First Chieftain of the Dúnedain). It was Aramîr who gave the gold sword with emerald jewel to his wife. She passed it down through the female side of the family and eventually it came to Goldie’s mother. Although Goldie’s mother is of the race of men, she was given an Elvish name at birth – Claur, meaning glory.
On a visit to Lothlórien, Claur met her second husband, Celevon (made of silver), Goldie’s father, who is one of the Silvan Elves from Lothlórien and Captain of the elite group who guard the Lady of the Light. Lothlórien is where Goldie grew up. Her proper name is Laurina, meaning golden in Quenya, because she was born with golden hair, a rarity among Elves. But she prefers Goldie to the more formal Laurina.
She has a brother just two years younger than she. His proper name is Tambe, meaning copper, because his hair is much darker than hers, but she lovingly calls him Tithen Toron (little brother), or mostly Toron.
At 17 Goldie was taken to Imladris by her mother to be mentored by Maethor, the same Ranger mentor Claur had 100 years before.
On her one of her quests, Goldie helped to save Bree from an attack of roaming band of Orcs looking for something to do after the WotR. During that battle she garnered her first of many battle scars [Thread Title: *Journey through Middle-earth.] Right after the War of the Ring, Goldie and Gandalf joined together seven travelers to accompany each other to their respective homes in Middle-earth but at the last moment Goldie was called away with Maethor on another mission for Gandalf.
