History:

Born of noble blood Gwendollyn is a very fine maiden. She is one of the best horse maidens in Rohan for her good technique in training horses, and breeding them. And for this she was offered a mare by the name of Anorithil, who was thought to be a descendant of Felaróf, Eorl’s horse, foundation sire of the Mearas. Anorithil will be one of the best-trained horses in Rohan for she is already thought to be a descendant of the Mearas, yet it will take years to perfect.

Gwen has always been thought of weak, and frail. Yet that is exactly what she isn’t. Years she has train at the art of battle by the hands of her own brother. Swordsmanship along with the Rohirrim art of the spear she has learnt since her brother was accepted as a Rider of the Riddermark at the earliest age of 18. Good she is with her blade Erudimar, and yet no one, save her brother Jayme, Theo, and Edrith know of this. If she did fight in battle the penalty of breaking the ancient law not allowing woman to fight would be fierce.

But that is exactly what happened. You see she was in some way connected to the royal family through an affair, her mother had with a member who is unknown to her. No one ever knew of this not even Gwendollyn! She was the birth child of Lady Laylin Lothestel a noble of Rohan. Laylin had told her husband it was his child yet he never did see a resemblance to him, only a replica of her mother. She went on living thinking Daledred was her father. But at the age of five he died of natural causes. Soon the secret would be told. Éolyn the daughter of a sister to Théoden, found out of the family affair through her uncle Théoden. Éolyn did pose as the male rider or Rohan Oric Veldimart, but was injured in battle and couldn’t follow through with her role. So Éolyn decided it was time for Gwen to know the truth in the year 3020 of the Third Age.

During a party at Meduseld, Éolyn took Gwendollyn aside and told her everything. She also explained she was Oric Veldimart, and her soon to be husband Edrith Ristore told Éolyn he had taught Gwen to fight and said she would be able to take the role over if needed. Éolyn entrusted Gwen with the role as Oric Veldimart, and told her how she wouldn’t be discovered. Though Gwen was mad at Edrith for telling Éolyn this. She followed through that night and disguised as Oric, she went to the hall and warned the king of a battle. So she played the role of Oric in the battle only to be blindsided by a warg and injured by an orc. Since she was rushed to the houses of healing word got out that a woman had broken the law in Rohan forbidding woman to fight in battle. So the king heard the rumor and entered the house of healing she was said to be at. In her critical state the king wished to throw her in the Edoras prison, yet her love at the time, Eomel, went in her place until she was able to stand a trial.

As the trial was held Eomel was given back his command, and Gwendollyn along with another female Rilaisseth were to duel with the King to prove worthy of fighting. As it stood Gwen was in almost critical state and her wounds not yet healed from the battle, she was forced to duel the King. Losing to the agony of her wounds Gwen was displeased and refused to go to the Houses of Healing. So She sat on the steps of Meduseld as Eomel met her. But what happened next would have never been expected. Eomel admitted his feelings were that of a friendship, nothing less nothing more. This hurt Gwen and she couldn’t take it. So she went to leave and wander until she could walk no more. The only thing stopping her was the fact that Gwendollyn was weak and got only a few steps before she had to be taken to the houses of healing, for her wounds worsened. There she spent a short time, mabe a day, when the healers were forced to tell the king her wounds were beyond the remedy of the Rohirrim, and the only chance for her to be saved was by the medicine of King Elessar. But moving her would be fatal.

But So Gwen found this out and the sorrow filled her with one last request. Which was she regaining her honour among the Rohan County by winning a duel with the King Éomer. That very day she found out, a dear friend was killed in the battle and this grieved her even more. A few days after this ill news was delivered she was walked to her dear friends mound, and prayed for his soul to be with the Lord of the Heavens. And decided against everyone’s wishes she was to fulfill her last request. So she dueled against the King, for her honour, her friend, and her father. She did fulfill this request and won, but great pain and consequence was caused. For her wounds had gone so far to the point of internal bleeding. Nothing could save her!

The Next night, Gwendollyn Elyna Lothestel was sent to the heavens, with a high honour.
