Personality: Bright, she is neither shy nor excessively outspoken. She has a stubborn streak, but does not like conflicts, and will (usually) go out of her way to avoid them. She loves the Uncle who adopted her very much.
Although she lives next to the ocean, she is terrified of it.
She loves animals and rides well, but does not have her own horse.
She has a small wooden flute, as well as her mother's lap-harp, and has an exceptionally 'sweet' singing voice.
She spends much of her time playing her instruments and reading poetry while sitting in her garden.
Appearance: Dark brown hair that has a 'reddish' tinge in the sunlight, and dark brown eyes. She is slender, but not very tall. She has a 'sweet' face, but is not truly considered a 'beauty'.
Sometimes she wears her hair (which is quite long) down, but prefers to wear it in a single soft braid over one shoulder.
She prefers simple dresses, and her favorite color is a deep forest-green.
History:
Gwendolyn was born in Dol Amroth, the daughter of the Duke, Maiganno. When she was a small child, her parents died in a boating accident, and was taken in and raised by her Uncle, Maigurrus.
Her mother was 25 and her father 36 when they died, and Gwen was 5.
Ever since her parents died, she has been terrified of the ocean.
Her extraordinary fear of the sea, however, is at ‘odds’ with Gwendolyn’s background. Unbeknownst to her, Gwen’s great-grandmother (on her mother’s side) was a Teleri Elf from Lothlorien named Elvaineth. The small trace of ‘elven-blood’ shows itself in her singing voice, and in her mother’s harp. For, also unknown to Gwen, the harp is Teleri-made.
The reason her background is unknown to her is that her mother died before she could pass the information on, and her uncle is unaware of it.
