Gender: 2
Race: Mostly Noldo, with some Vanyar
Height: Just barely 6 feet
Age: About 9,000 years - no one is sure exactly how old
Family: She is of the House of Feanor, but her mother was of Fingolfin's kin. None of her family are living now, unless they be very distant relatives.
Animals: Peregrin falcon named Maedhros - he is slightly larger than most birds of his kind. He bears a small, distorted burn-mark on his back, exactly between his wings.
Weapons: Bow and arrow, two long slender elven-swords (the blades were from Gondolin, and have her name and titles inscribed on them in elvish.)

Personality: Gwendolyn is a happy, fun-loving person in many respects, but when asked to discuss the trials and horrors of her past (that includes her origins and lineage), she shuts up tight and sometimes won't talk for days. When fighting, you may often hear her laugh for the sheer thrill of being alive and able to fight. She is very wise, but it is not immedietly apparent as she does not like to overwhelm people.

Appearance: DISCLAIMER: I didn't draw the picture - I merely found it on the internet (on this site: http://www-jcsu.jesus.cam.ac.uk/~lw310/art.html), and was amazed how closely it resembled my character. I adjusted her a bit to match the drawing. Gwenolyn is just barely 6 feet tall, and is quite slender. However, she has very toned muscles, and fair skin. Her hair is bright blonde (her mother was of the house of Fingolfin, so her hair is coulored like that of his folk), and hangs past her waist when unbound. However, she usually wears it in a tight braid down her back. Her clothes depend on where she is, but she is most often garbed in forest green leggings and a brown jacket/tunic.On some occasions, she wears eccentric clothing that is a mixture of the style of Orome and the colours and shades of Yavanna. She wears a few peices of gold armour, what is left of her days as a warrior in Gondolin. It is bound on with strips of leather, as are her twin swords. She can fight with bow and arrows, but very rarely carries them with her, prefering blade. She bears a tattoo on her forehed that resembles a tiara. Her bangs cover part of it, and her sea-grey eyes are capped with slightly slanted eyebrows.

History:

Gwendolyn was born in Valinor, but her family left there with Feanor when she was about ten years old. Her father and eldest brother were killed in the Kinslaying, but her other brother and her mother survived the fighting. On the route to Middle Earth, Gwen’s brother had a violent argument with Feanor, and was killed for treachery. She and her mother joined Maedhros’ people, and lived there until Dagor Bragollach, when, Gwen having recieved warrior’s training, she joined the war. When she returned, her little village – the smallest under Maedhros’ rule – had been burned to the ground, and the corpses of all those left behind, including her mother, lay scattered on the ground. Gwen went to live in one of the larger cities, and fought in several wars more. When the forces of Gondolin first appeared, Gwen was fighting with Maedhros’ army. In the ensuing confusion, she escaped with the Gondolin forces, arriving with them at the Hidden City. She spent several more years there, being forbidden to leave, until the City’s location was revealed. She was one of the warriors chosen to accompany the departing citizens, along with the man she loved, Glorfindel. Unfortunately, he died protecting the company from an attack of balrogs, and she has never been the same since. After Morgoth’s second defeat, she returned to the abandoned Gondolin, and has made it her home ever since. She is rarely there, however, prefering to aid in the affairs of Middle Earth, one of the last of the Exiles in Arda.
