Personality: Hala's heart belongs to no one; his mind often dwells on the waves where he was born, but his mask is one of gentle deacency. He is curtious and kindly, and is well liked by all; but his temper is silent, and there is no warning in advance of his wrath. He is quick to snap, but his anger is never long lasted. Hala enjoys good company, and feels most at home around kindly people, race making no difference. He is loved by the Dwarves, and indeed he has love for them, his friendship with them has won him many friends, and has earned him the chance to learn many secrets in the crafting of jems and stones. This above all else does he love to do.

Appearance: He is not the tallest elf, but he is certainly handsome. His hair is a deep ebony, so much so that it often looks blue. His skin is pale, and his eyes are a deep blue. Hala is thin, but powerfully built, and wears only grey tights, and a loose tunic of white. His axe he carries across his back. He has often been known to go bare foot, finding boots to be ungangly and making walking almost painful.

History:

Hala was born at sea in ages gone past. His parents were goodly, gentle folk who worked hard to make life easy for him, and his three siblings. His older brother became a mariner, and his sister became one as well, his youngest brother was lost at Sea and has never returned. Hala was quite the odd one out, though similar in nature, and in love for water, Hala took to traversing the lands, roaming over mountain, hill, and stream in search of something that he did not know of. In his travels he encountered men, elves of many kindreds, and even dwarves. Hala befriended the Dwarves especially, for he rescued a Dwarf Lord from a mountain river when goblins had ambushed them. Thus was he gifted with an axe as powerful as any elven weapon he had known, and just as beautiful, made of Mirthirl, and set with blue saphires and runes of silver and diamond it was a weapon fit for a king. Hala never forgot the Lord’s kindness to him, nor did the Lord forget Hala’s kindess, and so the two forged a friendship. The Lord called him Small Stone, for it is often the smallest stone that shifts the entire mountain. Hala returned to traveling, and took to walking alongside rivers and through mountains, every so often returning home with tales and songs he learned on his adventures. But always returns to walking, always searching for something he does not know of.
