Personality: Halweard is a bright and somewhat impetuous young man with a passion for the arts of war. He is an able swordsman and rider who is eager to prove his worth as a warrior and earn renown. Though he may seem to care about nothing but battles and arms, he has a great heart and capacity for compassion, especially towards the weak and unfortunate. His name means "safe-guard/protector."
Appearance: Halweard is tall and sturdily built, with dark blonde hair that is quite unruly and keen grey eyes. His face is clear and friendly, with a strong jaw and a slightly crooked nose, broken from a fist fight in his boyhood.
History:
Halweard’s father was an errand-rider in the service of Forlong of Lossarnach, and his mother was a woman of Rohan when they met. After they married, they lived on a farm in Lossarnach. When Halweard’s father was slain by wandering bandits, his mother returned with young Halweard to Edoras. There Halweard worked as a stablehand of the Rohirrim until his sixteenth year, when he became a guard in Meduseld.
