Gender: 2
Race: Elf
Height: 5' 7
Family: Father: Himring Oronar, Mother: Belothien Culnámo
Animals: An ebony and white, elven-bred mare- Gilcalen Hithlor. Gilaer, the mare's piebald colt.
Weapons: Long Bow; forest green with wooden inlay. Quiver of arrows. Two, elven fighting knives; black and gold hilted with saw-toothed and rune-engraved blades.

Personality: As with all of her kindred, she is wise and has a heightened intuition; a sixth sense. Her Noldorin heritage gives her an air of noblity and pride, as well as a fiery and passionate spirit. She is rebellious at times and stubborn as Fëanor himself. Háthien is witty and enjoys a good tale, as well as being an animated tale-teller herself. She loves books and histories, and is usually found in the library of Imladris when not off on one of her adventures. She is never able to resist a lively discussion, and rather enjoys whatever argument she finds herself in.

Appearance: A slender yet muscular maiden, weighing a mere 110 lbs. for her 5' 7" stature. She is small in stature for one of the Noldor, indeed for any of the elves, but with a stubborn streak more than making up for her height. Háthien's features suggest her Noldorin lineage -- proud, haughty on occasion, and noble. Her cheek bones are well-structured; prominent but not too sharp; and her lips, it seems, were made for kissing, for they are plush and soft. She has auburn locks, uncommon among the tall, raven-haired Noldor. Her eyes are a very light grey bordering on a pale river blue, with hints and swirls of green under certain lights. She is lithe and long-legged, with a calm yet indenpendent look in her eye. Raiment: Nearly always seen, when not off on one of her journeys, in a sea blue, teal or silver-green gown, with a piece of pearl and sapphire jewelry. When she is traveling, her apparel is simple but no less elegant. She wears either a royal blue and pine green traveling gown or something more masculine and enduring -- a jerkin, tunic and leggings. She almost always wears a deep sapphire pendant graced with a diamond star in its center, the emblem of her House. And, last but not least, she usually carries a small seashell to remind her of the sea and the sea-longing that ever dwells in her heart.

History:

he only acknowledged grand-daughter of Cadrieldur Ancalîmon and his wife, Lothbril, Háthien [or Heithien as, perhaps it should be spelt, is pronounced Hay-thee-en] was raised in Imladris by her mother, Belothien, and both of her maternal’s parents. Háthien’s father, Himring Oronar, to the best of her knowledge, was taken by Northern Orcs and tortured cruelly for many long years. That incident was the second to occur in his life span, causing great anguish and turmoil in his already troubled mind. His sanity was on the brink after the earlier attack, and he threatened his wife more than once of bodily harm. Merely a few years past Háthien’s birth, her mother heard word of Himring; that he had been released by his captors, left to wander about in madness, and to finally acquire yet another wife, a woman from Dunland. Not once did he ever return, nor care to see his child.

Háthien’s youth was a joyful one; her Grandfather, acting as paternal caregiver, gave to her more then her sire ever could. She was taught in the ways of war, gained much knowledge and wisdom, and spent her days in the company of her animal friends. As she grew and came of age, her need for traveling became more urgent, her restless nature only making the yearning stronger. To her delight, both her mother and ‘quant ada’, as she so called her grandfather, joined her on numerous journeys to the Grey Havens and Lorien. Unlike most Elves, she had always had an odd fascination with dwarves, and traveled to their abodes on a few occasions, creating an unusual friendship with many of their kind. Her love of equines sent her more than once to Rohan, even though the barren flat-lands kept her from staying for too long.

Háthien, deciding that the life of a wanderer was not fulfilling enough, chose to gain an education in healing. By no means, though, does she have the healing capabilities of the greater lords and healers.
