Gender: 2
Race: human- Dundain (Pirate)
Height: 6'1
Age: 22
Family: An orphan- see history, her crew mates.
Animals: Jet-black horse named- Dúath, meaning= shadow/nightshade/darkness.
Weapons: Single silver long sword with a decorative silver handle lined with rubies engraved with ‘Aerine’ meaning crown with fire, for to the elves her hair looked like a garland of flames. Steel broad sword with ancient ruins reading ‘beautiful wild horse’ in old Rohirrim etched into the blade with a ruby, garnet, and diamond jeweled black hilt, and a short sword with an opal set into the head of the hilt.

Personality: Swottiness hides her insecurity, although Hermione is as they say “as stubborn and wild as an untamed horse.” Witty, and headstrong Hermione is an interesting character to quarrel with. Blunt, straightforward and determined she gives a harsh impression, however very courteous and mindful of others feelings. Prideful although respectful, making her calculating, she thinks before she acts. She will use any means to achieve her end. Slow-tempered because she doesn’t care, however vial and dangerous when provoked. She is friendly although her sarcastic manner unnerves others; also she is very clever and hardly found without her nose in a book. A strong activist for other women’s rights, wielding her own blade she wishes for other willing females to have the freedoms of men. Hermione holds strength and willpower more commanding than many men. This fact is well hidden behind quiet solitude. A passionate vigor sparkles in her eyes, influential and piercing in the same moment.

Appearance: Cardinal red locks cascades down her back in tight wild curls, occasionally cut short for easier voyage without recognition. Hermione’s silky hair frames a delicate ivory face with a slightly pointed chin, high cheek bones, and small yet aristocratic nose. Pouty scarlet lips hardly ever smile, but when she does happiness reaches into her dimples and throughout her face. Unique bright turquoise eyes flecked with gold are surrounded by long thick lashes giving her an exotic appearance as if wearing dramatic eyeliner. Some say her eyes change with the weather turning a rich olive green at times. Oddly tall for a human, Hermione holds her wiry figure well, her swagger stately, as if she were a noble lady or princess. Her garb: tight black riding pants, knee high sturdy leather boots, a loose burgundy blouse, black hooded cloak with red lining drapes over her shoulders and black hat with a crimson feather adorns her head. An ornate teardrop ruby edged in gold hangs from a golden chain never taken from her neck.

History:

Born within the stone walls of Minas Tirith Hermione’s father was possessed by an evil when she was six. Living for years with her cruel father planted a deep seed of turmoil in her heart. He regularly drank his troubles away wailing on the nearest living being, usually her mother, who protected the young lass. At age thirteen her father took to her mother so badly he made her unconscious (five hours later she passed away), he then turned on Hermione. Picking up a metal rod, with tears in her eyes she told him clearly without a tremor of fear in her voice, “If you come any closer I swear I’ll hit you until you fall like her,” he faltered for a moment. Nodding he gave recognition that she was alive, realizing she was a person. Stepping back, he let Hermione flee from the house with a pack on her back. For the next few years she lived impoverished. Cropping her long beautiful hair, she disguised herself as a boy (obviously a young boy whose voice hadn’t changed nor even amounted peach fuzz on his chin, naturally) joining a fisherman’s boat until they ran into a quarry with pirates. Proving her skills in fighting by being the only one left alive wounded but still determined. Using her last ounce of strength she threatened the Captain; his dangerous eyes glimmered with satisfaction and took Hermione aboard, after a fellow shipmate pleaded that she wouldn’t be of any trouble. At first Hermione moped the deck, cleaned, helped cook and seldom aided the blacksmith on board sharpen knives. Throughout her time, she continued practicing her skills, even though the Captain disapproved her being taught by the other men. When he noticed, Hermione quickly dismissed herself and continued cleaning. At age seventeen she aided in a brawl with another pirate ship, defacing their mast with their opponents own gun powder seeing as they hadn’t possessed enough bodies or weaponry to succeed. After this event, the prior Captain gave her proper recognition, giving her a black pirate hat with a crimson feather which she keeps always, deeming her the youngest female pirate: the sea then became her home.
