Personality: Hìrilwen is kind and compassionate and listens more than she talks. She is an Elven warrior of sorts, but tends to avoid fighting as much as she can, being of a more peaceful nature-but she does not look kindly upon Orcs, as one of them killed her brother.

Appearance: Hìrilwen's eyes are the colour of sapphire, her hair is golden, she is very slim, and has a fair complexion. She wears a garment much like Legolas', except mostly in dark green, and she wears a long, black, hooded cloak.

History:

Hìrilwen was born in Lothlorien, but left with her mother and brother at a very young age. She never knew her father, and has no means to find him. Her brother, 100 years older than her, took care of her, when their mother mysteriously vanished. From then on, they wandered the world, never settling anywhere for long.
Hìrilwen’s brother Dùbrethil went off to fight an Orc raid on one of their favourite cities, which is now long forgotten. He had the gift of foresight, and before he left to fight, he told Hìrilwen: “Hìrilwen, my sister, you know I have the gift of foresight, even though it is not of full potency. I sense I may not come back to you. Take this brooch, and in time, you will find someone who will comfort you, in time of need, and will be like a sister to you. She is very different, but at the same time, very alike. You will know of whom I speak when the time comes. Do not question me. Navaer, mellon nin, my sister.” The brooch was in the shape of a small silver swan, wings folded. Hìrilwen had one exactly like it, except it’s wings were outstretched, as if in flight. These brooches had enabled them to have a stronger mental link, and they could tell what each other was feeling, and could always sense where each other was. He died in the Orc raid, and from then on Hìrilwen slayed all fell beasts that dared cross her path.
After a long while of wandering, she reached the age of 799, and she knew she must find company. She was in Rohan, and entered an Inn, where she met many people; she finally felt at home, and took up company with them.
Hideous spiders were becoming a problem, and one was slayed by her and some other Elves in a wood near the Inn. There, Hìrilwen found an enchanted piece of Gold, which she is now the keeper of.
Retiring to her room, she wept silently. Newra, a female Elf entered, and they shared their problems. This Elf was the woman Hìrilwen gave her brothers Swan brooch too, and it came in useful when they travelled towards Isengard, and Hìrilwen got trapped by an evil force. Hìrilwen see’s Newra almost like a sister, and the company was, and still is, like her family.
She left the company after a while of travelling, and found a Unicorn, which was ill, and healed him. She became the owner of him, and named him Mothnentil. Now at the age of 800, she has settled down in a cottage, in a wood, and has married an Elven musician. He is called Talathon. They are joyous, because she is now with child. An Elf they are friends with, called Deanna, who has lost the power of speech, has gone to Rivendell to tell hr friends. (Look at Deanna’s profile to find out more about her). Hirilwen will probably follow soon.
