Idria has lived a rather quiet life. Spending most of her time playing outside with her younger sister Mîrwen during her childhood. She lived a sheltered life mostly, without the fears or terrors in most of a child’s life during the growing power of Sauron in those dark years. She was fascinated with growing plants in her childhood, often trying to plant small flowers in her tiny garden in the stone city.

Idria met Belecthor through her father, for they were both in the military; Ciryaron being Belecthor’s superior. There was a time where her father denied Belecthor’s permission for betrothal to his eldest daughter for he feared what kind of life she would live if she married into the military. However, when he felt the sheer passion of his daughter’s love for Belecthor, he didn’t have the heart to keep them apart any longer. They were married when she was 23 years old and bore him a child within a year of their marriage.

Both her parents are still living, as is her sister. Her sister is now married and with her first child.
