Innas is the son of Bellas who was the first of Oropher’s people sworn into Greenwood’s guardianship. As members of the royal knighthood, a right that passes from father to son, Innas and his father were responsible for the protection of the King and his heirs. When Ballas was killed under the service of Oropher during the Last Alliance, Innas swore vengeance upon the sons of Isilidur and Gondor for he thought their weakness responsible for the losses suffered by Mirkwood. Under the waxing shadow of the South, Innas remained loyal to the house of Oropher under the kingship of Thranduil and found an ally and comrade in the Prince of Mirkwood against the coming years of darkness that followed.
