Luthien’s mother Malinalda was Tinuviel and Beren’s daughter. Malinalda and Cuthalion, her husband, dwelt outside of Rivendell in peace with Luthien, their daughter. Until one of Cuthalion’s friends betrayed them and there home was attacked. Both of her parents were killed in fight. Luthien escaped and became a stable maid in Rivendell were she past out of all knowledge until she went on a adventure and fought in the war of the ring.
