Personality: Turiel can have firey temper but one she can keep in check unless there are Orcs about or most humans. She also has a sarcastic streak that can sometimes get her into trouble. She has a love of animals and will get very upset if she sees one being abused in any way. She is also quick to laugh and smile. She can be a trickster but only if she knows you well enough.

Appearance: Turiel has waist length silver hair the color of moonlight. Her eyes are sliver/blue, when she is in battle her eyes turn silver but when she gets angry her eyes turn sapphire blue. Her clothing looks like that of Lorien wardens only in all black, she has black bracers with silver filigree inlaid in them. She also wears a silver necklace that she never takes off.

History:

Turiel’s family was killed by orcs when she was a young child. She was raised by her grandfather in Lorien. From the day they brought her family back, the only thing she has ever wanted was to be a warden to keep orcs and other riffraff from entering her beloved home. Her grandfather was against her being a warden at first, till he saw that she had great ability for fighting. He did insist that she learn healing as well. In his words “It is easy to take a stance of violence, but you must learn how to live in peace as well.” Turiel resisted at first, but then saw the wisdom in his words. She also found she was pretty good at healing, which became invaluable when on patrol on the borders.

The necklace she wears is the only thing left from her mother. She never takes it off. The bracers she wears are her father’s.

When patroling a few years ago, she found a wolf cub. After searching for the mother she decided to raise him herself (he was too young to survive on his own yet). She set no restrictions on him and he comes and goes as he pleases but is never far from Turiel.

At a very young age she found she could talk to animals better than most elves. She could usually be found in the woods having a long conversation with a bird or other animals.

Having seen what men were capable of doing to elves and other creatures of Arda, she really doesn’t like them. After almost killing a human who had inadvertently wander too close to Lorien’s borders, she decided to go wandering. She needed to see if all humans are evil. She requested a leave of absence from the MarchWarden. After much debate with the MarchWarden, and even Lord Celeborn and Lady Galadriel, she convinced them that she would not be able to do her job properly if she wanted to kill every human on sight. She didn’t want to leave the Golden Wood, it was the only home she knew, but she HAD to leave it for a time. It was either that or she would have to resign her position with the wardens.

So she wanders Arda searching…..
