Personality: Vaelen is an intelligent, cheerful and duitiful man, who loves his family and friends dearly and has a strong sense of justice and honor. He has an odd sense of humor that apparently he has passed down to his dughter, Itama.
His daughter takes after him in many ways and the two used to talk for many hours or play stategy games, before Itama left for the Rangers.
Appearance: Vaelen has dark black/brownish wavy hiar that reaches to his shoulders. He is tall and broad-shouldered with keen blue eyes. He dresses neatly but confortably when not on duty as a Tower Guard, usually in a maroon, grey or blue tunic and vest and tan or black pants and the standard, heavy boots.
History:
Vaelen has lived in Minas Tirith all his life. Like his father and his father before him, he went into the Tower Guard. He met Laralen when he had just gotten out of training. The two fell in love and were quickly married and soon after she bore him their first child, a son, Caelon. One year later, Itama was born.
Vaelen recognized his daughter’s talents with animals and her fiery temper, taking her aside to give her weapons training when her brother went off to join the Guard, as he could plainly see her jealousy. He and Itama were always close, and he taught her much before she left.
Though it was hard, Vaelen allowed Itama to go and join the Rangers after the death of Caelen, much to the disappointment of Laralen.
