Though he has a vast capability for good, it has been buried deep by his Balrog heritage. He has a natural attatchment to outcasts and is willing to give anyone a chance as long as they understand the risks they are taking.

Appearance: Sallow skin, black hair, dark grey clothing, black eyes that seem to glow red when angry, slightly pointed teeth, veins are visible through skin, tattoo of flaming skull on left shoulder and wears a huge grey cloak.

History:

Many years ago a member of his family came into contact with a Balrog, and it passed on a spiritual taint that slowly grew more powerful through the generations. For more than a century the taint receeded but when Velchor was born the family realised why; the evil that would have been spread among a score or more of the family had instead been concentrated into one soul. On his 10th birthday, enraged because of the measures his family tried so they could ‘purge his soul’ he lost control and unleashed Morgoth’s balefire upon his entire family, destroying them completely. In the years since he has wandered the world, attempting to find something that will fill the hollow inside him, but as soon as he becomes emotionally attatched to something he will eventually grow enraged and lash out with the balefire. Though he has learned greater control of his heritage, his constant losses and despair have purged his humanity, making him almost vampiric; cynical, seemingly cruel, and almost unable to love once more. In response to dreams that may have come from his long-submerged humanity, he has set out in one final attempt, to try to learn to love.
