Fantasy Festival 2008 will be held on 26th April at the University of Utah, US. Events include a presentation by Dr Drout on, “From Middle-earth to Hogwarts”, costuming workshops, Lords of the Rings Jeopardy, a masquerade and much more. You can find further details here.
Producers at the television show The Friday Night Project are looking for someone to take part in a quiz and go head to head with Elijah Wood to see who knows the most about Lord of the Rings. The person must be a super fan, and ideally do more than just your average fan. For example, they want a fan who organises conventions in their spare time, or holds LOTR parties, or dresses up as a Hobbit, or has named their children after a Tolkien character. The fan will be on stage with Elijah and take part in one round of quick fire questions, with the first to three winning.
Filming is Thursday 10th April (evening) in Central London, and the fan will need to be available from early afternoon until the evening. If you would like to put yourself or anyone forward then please email Rina ASAP at [email protected]
