Walking Tree publishers has released a new book; The Ecological Augury in the Works of J R R Tolkien. The book, by Irish author Liam Campbell, explores the environmentalist themes found in the works of Tolkien. For more info click here.
Hundreds answered the call in Oamaru yesterday for parts as extras in The Hobbit movies. About 200 extras are needed for filming in November and December in the Twizel-Lake Pukaki area. You can read the full story here here.
