A name given to all of the lands between the River Teiglin and the west march of Doriath during the time that Túrin lived in the company of Mîm the petty-dwarf upon Amon Rûdh.

It was called Dor-Cúarthol, "Land of Bow and Helm", because of the weapons of choice of Beleg and Túrin, who commanded there. Beleg carried a great bow and Túrin wore the Dragon-helm of Dor-lómin.

The land of Dor-Cúarthol lasted less than a year, for Morgoth learned that it was Túrin son of Húrin who lived there. He sent out spies who captured Mîm the petty dwarf. Mîm betrayed the Two Captains and Beleg was left for dead and Túrin was captured.
