Post HELP!!! Lesson 12 Quenya course
on: June 08, 2017 10:14
I am currently studying the twelfth lesson of the Quenya Course, and I stumbled across this sentence that I had to translate into elvish:
"7. The feet of a swan are orange; they are not white as snow." My translation to the section left of the semicolon is : "I tali alqava nar culuine;" How do you translate the second part of the sentence??? I didn't remember the lesson talking about a given pronoun for the word "they." Would it be "Umit ninqui ve losse?"

Also, what is the answer to the 8th question: "8. You have seen them bearing the cloaks of lords!" What part of speech would "bearing" be considered?

I'd like to refer you to lesson ten for the pronominal they/them.

As for the "bearing" question, lesson nine.

When you submit the exercises I'll give you tips about the corrections if there are any mistakes in them.

You correct the workbook exercise??? Also thanks, I am quite dumb on question 7, for I have forgotten about the verb um-! Also, does that mean that I should use "colala," as an active participle??? I didn't know that the verb in this sentence was adjectival!

Yes, cólala (with a long ó) is the correct verb form.

Also, how can you accentuate vowels on your computer when you submit your worksheet?

Ivysage08, I would highly recommend the following pages for details on Accents and Dots.

There are different methods for different users. I prefer the keyboard layout method myself.
