The Council will be holding a chat in the chat room during the Oscars this Sunday. We’ll be discussing the awards, celebrating victories, and sobbing over defeats (which of course, won’t actually happen, because Lord of the Rings will win every award it’s up for, right? Right?) 6-9pm PST, 9-12 EST. Hope to see you there!
Many review links added to the links section. These are reviews from professional critics mostly from web versions of national publications. Where possible I have put the date so as not to confuse other reviews or articles these publications might do on LOTR in the future.
Do you like to read news about the Lord of the Rings? Do you spend your time hunting down little tidbits about the cast and crew of the movie, just because? Do you like to stay on top of the latest breaking news regarding the DVD, the Oscars, or about Elijah Wood’s swearing habit? 🙂

Roger Ebert has listed his Oscar predictions. The good news? He thinks Ian McKellan will win for Best Supporting Actor. The bad news? He doesn’t think LotR will win Best Picture, but that Moulin Rouge will. Whatever. I can’t decide if that would be better or worse than A Beautiful Mind winning…
Interesting new article posted at Rolling Stone with an interview with Elijah Wood.
