It seems that the petition with the agenda of renaming The Two Towers title has gone bad.

The talented designer at ufocatcher.com has created an Elrond plush doll based upon the character as played by Hugo Weaving in the film. This limited edition dolls are produced one at a time and are sold exclusively on ebay. The author does not take requests for doll making, and has many other famous cartoon, film, game and fantasy characters in the making.

The Gypsy of the Year competition features New York’s most talented “gypsies” (chorus members from Broadway and Off-Broadway shows) in a competitive variety show. The event is the culmination of six weeks of fund-raising when shows on and Off-Broadway engage in a friendly competition to see which show can raise the most money for BC/EFA. Awards are presented to the shows raising the most money and to the winning presentation. Ian McKellen can be seen here, as an award presenter–scroll down for the slide show, he is at #19 and #20.

We’re pleased to announce that the Council is starting something new: A book club! As a group, we will all read the same chapters of a book at the same time, and discuss it in the forum.
