As you can see, we’ve replaced the poll in the upper right. The results for the old one (Which DVD set are you going to buy?) are as follows:
10% are getting the 2-disc set
25% are getting the 4-disc set
53% are getting both
12% are not getting either (no DVD player)
Less than 1% are not getting either for other reasons.
So it looks like New Line’s marketing ploy has worked, and most of us are going to get both sets. I think we all know the 4-disc set will be worth it, considering how chock full of extras the 2-disc set is already!
Lucky news for those of us living in Southern California: the Hollywood Bowl will be performing the symphony composed by Howard Shore for the Lord of the Rings movie this Friday (9th) and Saturday (10th). There are still tickets available, so if you want to go, you can order them through the Hollywood Bowl website. I’ll be there at the Saturday performance, so if anyone else is going, let me know, and we can meet up!
