Shooting for The Hobbit has been delayed after director Peter Jackson was admitted to the hospital, after complaining of acute stomach pains earlier this week, which were diagnosed as a perforated ulcer. After surgery to repair the ulcer, Jackson is reported to now be resting. Read more about it here.

In this interview at MTV Elijah Wood talks about his return to Middle-earth. Talking about how Frodo will fit in to The Hobbit movies he says; “The way that it’ll fit in will not at all infringe upon the integrity of ‘The Hobbit.’
Peter Jackson’s assistant, Matt Dravitzki, has told The Otago Daily Times that scouting for locations for The Hobbit movies has started. This is taking place in both North and South Islands in New Zealand.

The Otago Daily Times report that a group of would be hobbits, auditioning for non-speaking roles in the forthcoming movies, stayed silent as they had all signed agreements not to talk to the media.
