Borlad was (apparently) the eldest of the three sons of Bór, a chieftain of the Easterlings during the First Age. He was killed along with his two brothers, Borlach and Borthand, fighting alongside the Noldor during the Nirnaeth Arnoediad, the fifth of the Battles of Beleriand.
